2026 General Election Information

The 2026 General Election will take place Tuesday, November 3. Herriman residents are encouraged to review their voter registration information and become familiar with important dates and voting options ahead of Election Day. The election is administered by Salt Lake County.

Important dates for the General Election include:

• October 13: General Election ballots begin mailing to active registered voters
• October 20: Early voting begins at the Salt Lake County Government Center
• October 23: Voter registration deadline to receive a ballot by mail
• October 27: Early voting begins at satellite locations and is the last day to request a by-mail ballot
• November 3: General Election Day

Active registered voters will automatically receive a ballot in the mail. Ballots can be returned at ballot drop boxes, at an Election Day Vote Center, or through the mail. Ballots must be received by the Salt Lake County Clerk by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, so voters returning a ballot through the mail should allow enough time for delivery. Voters may also cast their ballot in person at an early voting location or Election Day Vote Center.

Residents can check their voter registration status, update their information, register to vote, and find additional voter resources through the State of Utah. The regular voter registration deadline is October 23 at 5:00 p.m. Same-day registration is also available for eligible voters who vote in person.
