• Reservations are non-refundable. Anyone who desires to reschedule their skate time must do by calling the Events Department during business hours

• Veterans and senior citizens, please call the Events Department at 801-446-5323 for discounted rates

Group Reservations

Group reservations are available online. Please be sure to know the exact number of participants. Exact sizing for skate rentals is not guaranteed. Refunds will not be given for “no-shows.” Additional participants not included in the reservation will not be permitted to skate. Be sure to have all participants complete the waiver prior to the scheduled skate time.

Assumption of Risk

By engaging in skating, skaters and spectators are deemed to have knowledge of, and assume, the inherent risks of skating. Those include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Injuries that result from collisions or contact with other skaters or individuals who are on the skating surface
  • Injuries that result from falls
  • Injuries that involve objects or artificial structures that are within intended path of travel of the skater

Skaters Code of Conduct

Skaters and spectators understand and agree to all of the following:

  • Maintain reasonable control of his or her speed and course at all times. Speed of skating must equal the flow of all other skaters
  • Read and abide by all posted signs and warnings
  • Skate only in the direction posted
  • Cooperate with and follow direction of City staff
  • Skates must be worn to access the Ice Ribbon
  • No more than two (2) people may skate together. Trains and long chains of skaters are not permitted
  • Skaters may not hold young children while on the ice. Strollers are allowed on the ice and available for rental
  • Refrain from skating while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or other controlled substances
  • Helmets and protective gear are strongly recommended
  • Skates are prohibited on concrete surfaces
  • Skating outside of designated hours of operation is prohibited
  • The Ice Ribbon may be closed at any time due to maintenance, emergency situations or inclement weather
  • Herriman City is not responsible for lost or stolen items

  • Skating during ice maintenance or closure
  • Chipping or gouging the ice
  • Skating in a manner that endangers or interferes with the enjoyment/experience of others
  • Stopping or standing on the ice
  • Horseplay, game playing, excessive speed, roughness or skating in a dangerous or potentially dangerous fashion
  • Hockey
  • Eating or drinking on the ice
  • Throwing objects
  • Sitting on or leaning over the railing
  • Profanity
  • Alcohol, drugs and smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes
