Herriman Community Center Opens Its Doors

Herriman City recently celebrated the grand opening of the newly remodeled Herriman Community Center, marking the next chapter for one of the community’s most historic buildings. Originally built as military barracks before becoming the Herriman Lions Club in the 1950s and later serving as the City’s first City Hall, the building has been an important part of Herriman’s story for decades.

After hearing residents express a desire to preserve this historic landmark, the City used federal grant funding to modernize the facility while maintaining its historic character. The renovation brings updated amenities to the building while honoring its past, including preserving portions of the original structure that reflect its long history.

The Community Center is now open and ready to serve residents once again as a gathering place for senior programs, community events, and meetings for local organizations.
