Herriman Police Hosting National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Herriman City Police Department invites residents to safely dispose of unused or expired medications during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event provides a safe and anonymous way to dispose of unwanted medications while helping prevent accidental poisonings, medication misuse, and improper disposal.

Officers will be stationed near the Crane Plaza Ice Ribbon, located at 13082 S. Fort Herriman Parkway, to collect medications and assist residents with the disposal process. Community members are encouraged to check their medicine cabinets and bring any medications they no longer need.

Proper medication disposal helps keep potentially harmful substances out of the wrong hands and contributes to a safer community. For additional information about National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, visit DEATakeBack.com.
