Community Garden Registration Opens April 15

Herriman’s Community Garden program will soon be opening registration for the 2026 season. Residents interested in growing their own fruits, vegetables, or flowers can sign up for a garden plot beginning April 15 at 8:00 a.m. The gardens provide a shared space for community members to learn gardening skills, connect with neighbors, and enjoy the benefits of growing fresh food locally.

The Community Garden program encourages public awareness of gardening while helping residents cultivate and maintain their own plots. Participants work together to keep the garden organized and productive by maintaining plots, following watering schedules, and assisting with general garden upkeep throughout the growing season. The program also highlights Herriman’s agricultural roots and promotes the value of gardening skills within the community.

The garden is located at 12733 South Pioneer Street (6000 West) in Herriman. While registration opens in mid-April, gardeners should note that work in the plots typically begins sometime after Mother’s Day, depending on weather and site conditions. Once registered, participants will receive email updates with details about opening dates, orientation, and other important information.

Residents interested in participating can find additional details, registration information, and frequently asked questions on the Community Garden page of the City website.
