Humans of Herriman Books
As Herriman continues to grow, efforts are underway to preserve and share the stories that shape the community. Humans of Herriman is a youth-led project focused on strengthening community identity and belonging by documenting the experiences of local residents.
Last fall, a group of high school students received training in oral history interviewing and began collecting stories from people across Herriman. The project includes voices from families who have lived in the area for generations as well as newer residents whose backgrounds span 13 different countries. Together, these stories highlight the diverse experiences that make up the Herriman community.
Thanks to support from the Utah Historical Society and Utah Humanities, printed copies of these stories are now available. Residents are invited to pick up a free copy at Herriman City Hall while supplies last.
