On July 4, 2026, America will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Herriman City, the state of Utah, and the country will come together throughout the year leading up to the anniversary to reflect on our nation's past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look forward to the future.

Stars & Strides Virtual Run
This commemorative event honors our nation’s founding through a self-paced, year-long challenge open to runners and walkers of all levels. Beginning July 4, 2025, participants can choose to complete 13, 50, or 250 miles—distances that represent the 13 original colonies, 50 states, and 250 years of American independence.
The race runs through July 4, 2026 and can be completed anywhere, anytime. All registrants will receive a commemorative medal and a participant T-shirt.
Memorial Day Breakfast & Ceremony
Join the community on Monday, May 25, 2026, to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. A community breakfast and Memorial Day ceremony will be held that morning in Herriman.
Fort Herriman PRCA Rodeo
Celebrate America 250 at one of Herriman’s signature summer event. The Fort Herriman PRCA Rodeo brings professional rodeo competition, community traditions, and patriotic moments together for a weekend of family-friendly entertainment.
Fort Herriman Towne Days
Celebrate America 250 during Herriman’s hometown summer tradition. Fort Herriman Towne Days will feature a patriotic America 250 parade, a special 250-themed Yeti Run, and a Friday night drone show honoring this historic milestone.
