Fun in the Sun

Blackridge Reservoir

Enjoy the sandy beach, refreshing water, playground, and scenic trailhead of Blackridge Reservoir. It’s a perfect spot for cooling off and soaking up the summer sun or getting a fresh perspective on the hillside trails nearby. Please remember, dogs are NOT allowed on the beach or in the water.

Water quality—Swim at your own risk

Blackridge Reservoir is a natural body of water and is untreated. The water may contain waterborne pathogens, parasites, leeches, snails, and more. Some users have reported cases of swimmer's itch.

The Utah Department of Environmental Quality tests regularly for E. coli and harmful algal bloom. View the latest test results on the state DEQ's website.

There is no lifeguard on duty.

Paid parking on weekends and holidays

A $15 all-day parking fee will be charged for vehicles using Blackridge Reservoir's parking lot on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May 1 through September 7. Diamond Parking, a contracted service, administers this fee on-site. Cash is not accepted, so drivers will need to pay for parking with a credit card, follow alternate instructions outlined on the parking signs, or call the number provided.
