City trailhead plus a Friends of Herriman progression-based bike jump park to be constructed in 2026

The City Council approved two companion projects at Juniper Canyon slated for construction in 2026: a City-built trailhead and a bike jump park led by Friends of Herriman. The partnership will add new recreation options while improving access to the Juniper Canyon Recreation Area.

Trailhead (City project): Parking, restrooms, a small pavilion, and about 5,800 feet of new multipurpose trail connecting the eastern recreation area to Juniper Canyon Road on both sides of the canyon.

Bike jump park (Friends of Herriman): A progression-based facility designed for beginner through advanced riders near the upper trailhead.
