Street Pole Banner Hanging Service

Herriman City offers an opportunity for recognized community partners to display approved banners on designated City streetlight poles. This service is available to schools, governmental organizations, and other recognized community partners to promote community events and initiatives.

Service Availability

Banners may be displayed during the following months:

  • January through April
  • September through November

Displays must be scheduled for a minimum of four weeks. Additional display time may be granted with City Manager approval.

Locations and Banner Specifications

Banners are placed on approved City streetlight poles, typically ranging from 20 to 28 feet tall. Applicants can request specific locations, subject to availability.

Banner requirements:

  • Dimensions: 30 inches wide by 5 feet tall
  • Material: Marina acrylic or polyvinyl
  • Finishing: 3/4" hem on both sides with grommets for digital print mounting
  • Graphics must fit within the 24-inch width requirement.

Costs

  • Application fee: $55 (due at time of application)
  • Installation fee: $75 per banner (payment due after approval and before installation)

Application and Approval Process

  1. Submit a completed application at least 30 days before your requested installation date.
  2. Include a photograph, drawing, or digital representation of the proposed banner design.
  3. Provide requested dates for installation and removal.
  4. Specify the number of banners and proposed locations.
  5. Approved applicants will be contacted for payment and scheduling.

Banners will be installed and removed by Herriman City staff according to the approved schedule.
